Effective date: September 17, 2026  ·  Last updated: September 17, 2026

The short version: OutSwitch connects to your workplace tools (Slack, Google, Microsoft, WhatsApp) to toggle your Out of Office status on your behalf. We store only what we need to do that job. We do not sell your data, advertise to you, or share your information with third parties except the services you explicitly connect.

1. Who we are

OutSwitch is a mobile application developed by Dan Meyer (dan@outswitch.ai). When we say "OutSwitch," "we," "us," or "our," we mean the app and its developer.

OutSwitch integrates with the following third-party platforms at your direction. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data:

OutSwitch only accesses these services with the permissions you explicitly grant during the connection flow, and only acts on your behalf when you activate or deactivate your Out of Office status.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Railway (railway.com), a cloud infrastructure provider based in the United States. Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database. We use industry-standard practices including encrypted connections (TLS) and environment-variable-based secret management.

OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are never included in app binaries or source code repositories.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal information and OAuth tokens within 30 days.
